EVENT FORMAT
The ‘test’ is defined with a diagram, and involves competitors using both forwards and reverse gears. They are required to cross all lines with the cars leading wheels, park in ‘garages’ and perform ‘nose throws’ (J-turn) and ‘forward throws’ (handbrake turns), and penalties are given for touching pylons or not performing the maneuvers correctly. All events include 2 versions of tests to suit both lightweight and roadgoing cars, experts, clubmen and novices.
"Championship" layouts are designed to put experts driving highly modified lightweight cars the ultimate test. "Challenge" tests are designed with top roadgoing competitors in mind and also caters for the "Europa Cup" novices competition as well as drivers with lightweight cars who prefer a more open test. |
